Power Theft:Violence rising against discom employees in India.

Nanded, Feb 2 (UNI) There is a rise in the incidents of assaulting the officials of the Maharashtra Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDC) when they attempt to curb power theft and recover the pending bills from the customers. In one of such incidents, occurred in Kandhar tehsil of the district, an accused assaulted the lineman Momin Khadir Ahmed Manjur Ahemad when he was inspecting the power theft at Kautha on Friday afternoon. A case was filed against the accused at late night by the Kandhar police.
